Tony Lynch
Principal Stylist
Tony Lynch was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and began his hairdressing career in 1991 with Zakks, one of Ireland’s leading hairdressing salons. He received the title of British Regional student hairdresser of the year in 1994 and realised then that hairstyling and its various guises would prove to be a challenging, artistic and rewarding career path.
With that motivation and the mentoring of some of Ireland’s leading stylists, Tony enjoyed many years fulfilling his ambition to become technically excellent at his work. As well as refining his cutting, Tony completed numerous colour courses throughout the United Kingdom becoming a L’Oreal Colour Correction Technician.
This illustrious career was interrupted only by a chance meeting with his now wife, an Australian who was then working in Belfast. Together they made the decision to move to Australia where Tony was snapped up by a local high profile salon, continuing his career both in the salon and in a leading academy as an educator.
A father to two beautiful sons, he enjoys Australia’s food, wine and climate and is enjoying the continuing success of his latest venture, Opus.
